Brno / Czech Rep., Mar 30 (BD) [last update: 6:06pm] – There are 173 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in South Moravia (SM) to date.
According to the Monday report of South Moravian Hygiene Authority (KHS), since the first case of Covid-19 reported in SM on March 11, 2020, 1,310 people in South Moravia have been placed in quarantine (808 people at the moment), and 2,342 have been tested.

Another supply of protective equipment from the national central distribution system arrived in South Moravia over the weekend, including 45,000 respirators, 336,000 protective masks, 19,000 gloves, 3,300 suits, and 2,200 pairs of glasses. According to SM Governor Bohumil Šimek, the equipment has been distributed to medical facilities without problems.
Czech Government has extended the quarantine measures until Saturday, April 11 (originally to April 1).
As of this afternoon, there are 2,896 confirmed cases in the Czech Republic, from over 40,000 tested; 17 people have died and 11 have recovered.
The national increase in Covid-19 cases on Sunday was 160, the lowest daily increase for six days.
