Brno, Mar 3 (BD) – Uklid’me Česko (Let’s Clean Czechia) is organizing their spring cleaning event on April 4th. Throughout the Czech Republic, everyone is encouraged to help clean the country for the day. So far, around 120 events have already been organized in the city of Brno, spread across different neighborhoods and areas.
The event “Clean up the world, clean up the Czech Republic” is a volunteer cleaning event that takes place throughout the Czech Republic twice a year, in Spring and Autumn. Its aim is to clean up illegally dumped rubbish. For this year’s spring cleaning event, over 1,500 local events have already been organized across the country, increasing daily. Scouts, schoolchildren, company employees, firefighters, community parties, and any other groups or individuals are all encouraged to join the cleanup. Willing participants can sign up for any local events that have space left for their group, which are mapped here.
On World Cleanup Day on September 19th, Uklid’me Česko will organize their second cleanup day of the year. Last year, over 150,000 volunteers collected over 2,500 tons of waste. Uklid’me Česko hopes to break that record this year.
